Bell Sleeved for Winter

Hey there friends!! I honestly cannot believe that January is coming to a close. It's crazy to think that I am already entering my fourth week of classes. My week's have been absolutely packed but I can't help but smile because I know that everything I'm doing is something that I value. I've enjoyed being able to recommit to Madison From Madison, even if it means whipping up a blogpost to meet your once-a-week posting goal. Thank you for continuing to join me on this journey.

This week I want to bring you a winter outfit that is chic but also comfortable. Although the temperature here in Ames seems to be unsure of what season it wants to be, I remain realistic and understand that winter weather will most likely return. This outfit is perfect for the freezing weather and warm enough for the chilly days when us crazy Midwesterners don't want to wear coats. You can find outfit details below.

Bell sleeves have quickly become one of my favorite trends this year. They are both flirty and chic. They can quickly take a simple grey cardigan to the next level. The A New Day brand for Target immediately drew my eye. Target has been doing amazing things to elevate their fashion options and I for one am all for it! I honestly need to control myself when I go into Target because this brand (among many other things) is bound to tempt me.

Under the cardigan I layered one of my favorite flannels from Old Navy. Every year Old Navy has an amazing assortment of flannels. They are warm and extremely practical. Adding a flannel makes the outfit comfortable but not casual. Additionally, I also chose a pair of jeans from Old Navy as well as my Hunter rain boots. These have been my go to boots for when it's cold but snow-boots aren't necessary. Their short height is cute and still allows for movement.
