Fall is here, so throw on your favorite pair of boots! As a part of Target's Deal Days (October 13th-14th), boots for the entire family are buy one get one 50% off.

Target has long been one of my favorite places to shop for new boots. At Target you can find high-quality shoes at an affordable price-point that is often lessened by regular sales. Although I definitely have a shoe obsession and would love to continuously purchase the latest and greatest shoes each season, Target styles stand the test of time. I have condensed my essential boots to four specific types, and Target offers great options (all currently on sale).

As you can see in the graphic above, my boot suggestions are separated into two different categories: color and height. I have black and brown ankle boots as well as black and brown tall boots.

Overall, neutral-toned boots are a great choice as they maximize your outfit options. I prefer to have a black and brown pair in each height so I can appropriately match to a warm or dark outfit. I typically pair brown boots with pieces in light colors and navy blue, while black boots are a good match for black, gray, and more vivid colored pieces. Boots in different brown tones add some further variation to your shoe options.

Short booties are a favorite style of mine because they can be paired with a casual or dressier outfit. Booties are offered in a wide array of styles, from Chelsea boots to ankle boots with a western flair. Although I only recently invested in tall boots (I actually have both of the styles shown), I have to say, they are so fun! I love that the tall height and accentuated heel flatters my long legs. Tall boots can be paired with dresses and skirts for a fancy look, and they can even elevate a sweater and jeans outfit.

Beyond these four styles, I have a few other booties in my wardrobe that provide a different color option or have a unique style detail. However,

If you're in the market for a new pair of boots, I'd HIGHLY suggest looking at Target and taking advantage of this sale!
