As you may or may not know, last month I started a new job. I'm working as a contract writer for the new pets brand Daily Paws (dailypaws.com) while I continue searching for a full time position. In addition to writing and publishing articles, I've also been included in regular team meetings. Even though I'm working from the comfort of my room, being back in a work routine has felt so good!

Working from my room and participating in meetings virtually means the workwear in my closet hasn't gotten much use. However, I have been styling new outfits in the hopes of returning to an office one day.

Today I'm featuring one of my favorite new workwear outfits. If you know me, you know navy blue is my absolute favorite color. When I saw this navy striped blazer, I knew I had to add it to my collection. Blazers are a classic workwear staple; I consistently wear them for professional events. I only have a basic gray blazer, so this piece provides tons of new outfit options. I'll share more details below, but you can find links to items to recreate this outfit at the end of this post!

Based on my in-office internship experiences, some of my favorite workwear outfits combine jeans with nice shirts and layers. Jeans are a more comfortable base to an outfit, but the right pair can still be professional and stylish. A nice, clean pair of dark denim is a closet essential.

Once I purchased this blazer, I finally pulled the trigger on a navy blue silk cami. This item was in my cart for a while because of its color and the fact that it can be worn alone during the summer or layered under so many items for cooler temperatures. I love the slight v-neckline and dainty straps.

With all the navy I already had going on, I couldn't help but pull out my navy blue heels to pair with this outfit. I almost always typically cuff my jeans and with this outfit, doing this showed off my shoes. The pointed toe detail is always chic.

SHOP MY LOOK

I finished off this outfit with subtle gold jewelry. A fun pair of hoops and a simple gold pendant necklace (that I received for my golden birthday) were the perfect accessories.

If you're one of the few people going into the office currently, hopefully this outfit can inspire your next outfit. If you're still remote, you can dream along with me! This was such a fun outfit to style, and I'm so glad I got to take some photos while everything was still green. We're now entering holiday season, and I'm so excited to bring you some amazing gift guides soon. As for now, thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
