Happy fall y'all! Fall has officially hit Madison, and the changing leaves have been bringing me so much joy. Fall is my favorite season fashion-wise, so I'm extremely excited to bring my sweaters and boots out of storage. Even though the pandemic has me working from home and not venturing out as much as usual, I'm still finding excuses to dress up and enjoy the cool weather!

Fleece and sherpa is an extremely popular trend this season, and I'm happy about it! Jackets in these materials provide essential warmth while also being fashionable. I recently invested in a North Face Cragmont Fleece Jacket and I absolutely love it. I appreciate that I can layer it over athletic wear or casual outfits.

This specific North Face jacket has tan accents, a flat chest pocket, center snap closure, and open hand pockets. Along with all of these style details, it is WARM! It would be a great early fall jacket for every day.

A ton of brands have come out with fleece or sherpa jackets this season. Target offers jackets at a lower price range, but if you're looking to invest in a high quality piece you should definitely check out North Face or Patagonia. See the product carousel below for specific jacket recommendations!

For this outfit I chose to layer the jacket over another fall-essential: a plaid flannel. The navy base of this flannel ties in with my blue skinny jeans and the cherry red and maroon plaid is accented by brick red booties. I bought my Credo booties on sale from Nordstrom Rack, but you can find them (in various colors) at other retailers. Their color provides some fun variation to my shoe collection. See the product carousel below for links to similar products.

I look forward to wearing variations of this outfit and putting together other outfits around this jacket throughout the fall. Let me know what you think of the fleece and sherpa trend. Do you have a fleece jacket or are you on the hunt for one? Whether you're watching football or picking out a pumpkin, I hope you're enjoying this fall weekend!
