Cozy for Finals Week

The countdown to Winter Break and Christmas has officially begun! Now, the only thing standing in my way is Finals Week complete with two exams and a huge paper. I'm taking a break from studying to bring you one of the outfits my sister and I shot over Thanksgiving Break. In the craziness of this past week and looking forward to this coming week, comfort is a huge priority. On days when I spend hours studying, I can't think twice about what I'm wearing.
Recently, one of my favorite pieces to throw on is a sherpa sleep turtleneck from Gap that I purchased a couple of weeks ago. I won't lie, I actually wore this yesterday for a comfy outfit to end Dead Week (the week before Finals when no clubs/organizations can meet). This pullover is genuinely the warmest and softest thing I've ever put on my body. Details for this whole outfit are at the bottom of this post!

The large sleeves and bulky neck are my favorite parts of this sweatshirt because they only add to the comfortability of the piece. I can cuddle into it and never have to worry about the cold of Iowan winters. Fair warning- if you purchase this pullover, be prepared for people to want to pet it because it looks so dang cozy! I picked the black color because previously I didn't have any black sweatshirts. Also, because of its neutral color, it can be paired with many different bottoms to create tons of outfit options.

For a more casual look, I paired my sherpa with cuffed jeans. With how cozy the pullover appears, jeans dress the look up just a little. If you wanted to be extra comfortable or you're planning to be at home studying all day, the outfit could be dressed down with a pair of leggings.
My go-to shoes for this type of outfit have been my lace-up sneakers from Target. I had been in love with a pair of Steve Madden sneakers and then I found these ones which are cheap (but good-quality) dupes of them. These sneakers are essentially slide-ons and have an extremely comfortable sole. They are perfect for throwing on with any athletic or cozy outfit. Usually when I wear them with jeans I role them once or twice as to show off the shoes. Together, the pullover and the sneakers convey the cozy, read-to-study feel.

I truly cannot wait to get back home to Wisconsin and when I'm packing up my things, I will definitely be packing both my sherpa turtleneck and sneakers. I am excited to get the chance to actually relax and spend an extended amount of time with my family and friends. I can hardly wait for all of our holiday family traditions and festive plans.
