Today is December 21st and therefore it is the official first day of WINTER! Although it has been cold and snowy for quite some time both at Iowa State and at home in Madison, Wisconsin, the season begins today.

While winter in Wisconsin tends to mean extremely cold temperatures and difficult driving conditions (and Iowa looks to be no different), I love the holidays and fashion opportunities that come with the season. Dressing for reunions with friends, family gatherings, and holiday traditions is so fun! I'll admit that I brought far too many clothes home from my dorm room just in case I may need them for something in the month that I am home.

Looking forward to winter, my sister took photos of me over Thanksgiving break highlighting some of my favorite winter outfits! She is so talented and loves to film and compose videos. So, along with taking photos, she took quick and fun videos of me in each outfit and turned it into a Winter Lookbook for 2016.

I present to you, Madison from Madison's Winter 2016 Lookbook.

Outfit #1: Just because it's cooler doesn't mean you can't still dress up! For this outfit I paired my grey marled sweater with lace side detailing from Francesca's with a maroon corduroy skirt from Target. I wore a cami under the sweater and black tights and boots to stay warm. This outfit includes the perfect fall/winter colors as well as elements to stay warm despite the elements.

Outfit #3: Flannels are the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe! I love the red and navy that makes up this one from Old Navy. I layered a black quilted vest (also from Old Navy) over it and added my favorite jeans as well as my new brown booties. For the final touch, and to add just a little sophistication, I chose my pearl necklace.

I hope you enjoyed this short video! We look forward to hopefully putting together more. If you are interested in staying updated with the happenings of my blog, subscribe using the tool on the right hand side. Until later, thanks again for watching and reading!

Happy Holidays and Much Love,

Madison
