Recently I had the assignment of creating an online profile to document me and my work as a sort of resume website. After designing the website I realized that I didn't have any photos for the homepage that were fitting and would look good. So, I asked one of my new friends here at ISU who loves taking photos to work her magic on me. The photos turned out amazing and I thought they would be perfect for my first style post. (If you're interested, here is the link to my portfolio: http://madisonpincombe.wixsite.com/portfolio)
I chose one of my favorite outfits for the photoshoot:

The orange/red (depends on the light) shift dress from Francesca's is fun and easy to wear. It has a lace overlay with an abstract floral pattern. The outfit options with a shift style dress are limitless! When it is warmer all I add are the accessories but when its begins to get chillier, you can throw on a jean jacket as a casual cover up or even a blazer as a more formal option.
My chunky pearl necklace is also from Francesca's (Francesca's tends to be my go). It is a collection of layered pearls and rhinestones along with gold accents. I would define my personal style as preppy and classy and this necklace fits that perfectly. I wear it often with many different kinds of outfits. Whether it be an outfit with a button down shirt, an outfit with a dress, or something else completely, this necklace pulls an outfit together and makes the wearer look put together!
For shoes I decided on black peep block heel sandals with gold buckle detailing. I just got this pair of heels this summer and I am already obsessed! They match with all kinds of outfits and surprisingly they are decently comfortable and easy to walk in. Something you should know about my style interests is that I actually love to wear heels! They add so much to an outfit and accentuate my long legs. I wore heels for entire days at high school countless times. So, I love finding cute heels that will work with many outfits and be practical for my busy life!

The cute relaxed nature of this dress creates the "flirty" feeling. When ever I'm wearing it I just can't help but dance and spin. I hope you enjoyed my first style post! Stay tuned for many more! Fall has hit Ames, IA and it is one of my absolute favorite seasons fashion wise so I will definitely document some of my outfits. Thanks again for reading.
Much love, Madison
