Happy Friday! Since graduating in May I have been back in Wisconsin spending time with family and focusing on applying for jobs. Although we haven't been doing a ton (thanks to COVID), I've managed to rack up some new favorites that I wanted to share with you.

1. Podcast: RomComPods

This summer I've been going on regular walks to get in some exercise. After walking a few days in a row I had already tired out my favorite playlists, so I tried to find a podcast to listen to. I had never been obsessed with podcasts, but I think fiction podcasts are officially my sweet spot. As a romance lover, RomComPods was a match made in heaven! The first season of RomComPods was so sweet, and I'll admit it, a little cheesy.

2. Book Series: Red Queen Series by Victoria Aveyard

One plus side of quarantine has been having more time to read. I love a good fantasy/sci-fi series, and I just finished reading through the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. The books were so engaging that I was able to get through all four pretty quickly. In this series, the population is divided into those that have red blood (the lower class) and those that have silver blood (the elite class with supernatural abilities). If royal drama and supernatural abilities intrigue you, I would highly suggest reading this series!

Whether I'm getting ready to go on a walk, go hiking, or even just run some errands, these are my go-to shoes. After running my old Adidas sneakers into the ground, I wanted to find another pair of Adidas shoes that were cute yet comfy. The colorway of this pair (Core Black / Grey Six / Grey Four) allows them to match with any outfit.

As I started going on walks more consistently, I grew frustrated with having to hold on to my phone or tuck it into my shorts and worry about it hitting the ground. I had been searching for a small fanny pack/crossbody to use and when this Lululemon one launched I knew it was perfect. The color I have (Silver Drop) is currently sold out online, but the black and black camo are still available in terms of neutral options. I've loved wearing this as a belt bag for walks and as a crossbody for errands and such.

I wear bronzer all the time, but I feel like the bronzy sun-kissed look it gives is an essential for summer. This Milani bronzer has been my favorite for a while because it is matte (no-shimmer), has the perfect neutral tone, and can easily be layered for the perfect look.

6. Music: Adventuring Playlist by Me!

I recently took a road trip for a job interview, and my adventuring playlist came in clutch. I've curated this playlist over the years to channel a *driving through the mountains with the windows down* vibe. The playlist now has over four hours of music on it, so it lasted me a whole leg of the trip.

7. TV Show: World of Dance

As a former dancer, World of Dance has been a favorite of mine since it premiered. The latest season started in late May, and I've been loving it! Featuring J Lo, Derek Hough, and Ne-Yo as judges, the dancers competing get better and better each season. I watch it on Hulu the day after each episode airs.

When I want to give my lips some color AND hydration, I turn to these Milani lip glosses. The gloss provides fun glittery color, a plumping effect, and moisture without being sticky.

This has been an essential since the beginning of 2020. This journal features a page for every day of the year, and each page has five separate sections so you can write a line a day for five years. I started on January 1, 2020, and I'm so glad I'll have this way to remember such a fun time in my life.

Heading into the spring/summer I was in need of a new pair of jean shorts. I was immediately drawn to this pair while shopping at Target because of the button-fly style, and I haven't stopped wearing them all summer. I love that they can be dressed up or down, are super comfy, and have functioning pockets. I desperately wish that they sold these in a dark wash as well, because I would wear those a ton too!

I hope you find something you can listen to/read/watch/use/add to your wish list from this post. I'd love to make this a regular series as I try to get back to blogging regularly, so let me know what you think! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
