Happy 2019 all! I hope you had tons of fun ringing in the New Year, I know I did!

As 2019 begins, everyone and their mother seems to have made and shared their New Year's resolutions. I knew I wanted to specify some goals to guide me in this new year, but I've never taken the initiative to formally make any kind of resolution so I wasn't sure where or how to start. I spent the day yesterday thinking through what method would be best for me and giving myself time to process and be creative.

After some thinking and searching, I've come up with a method that I'm hoping will work for me this year. I knew that I didn't want to set a small amount of super specific goals because I knew that could possibly stress me out and lead to comparison or disappointment. Instead, I decided to reflect on 2018 and years prior to create a list of things I want 2019 to have more of and less of. I designed a worksheet that I could print and fill out for this. This is loosely based on a page from Lara Casey's Cultivate What Matters Powersheets.

After creating the worksheet I sat down and intentionally contemplated and listed my "resolutions" for each category. With it now mostly complete (I have some space to add thoughts throughout the year), I can confidently say I'm excited about where 2019 is headed. I plan on posting this sheet in my Prep Avenue Planner as a way of keeping myself accountable. I was also able to narrow down my lists to one reoccurring theme that I will use as my word of the year.

My word of the year is: FAITH

As the year progresses, I am looking forward to explaining why certain items are on my lists and what my word of the year means to me. My "resolutions" show that I am in no way perfect and I am not where I want to be yet. I know that I cannot do any of this without learning to rely more and more on God and this was a huge part of this entire process.

I am eager to see how this worksheet helps me start off the year strongly. I already have a feeling that 2019 is going to be absolutely amazing! If you are interested in printing and using it, I've included the image below. I hope that your 2019 is off to a great start and that it turns out to be above and beyond all you could imagine.

As always, thank you for reading! I am so beyond excited to bring more content to you throughout this year. With that, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
