Happy Friday! My summer at home is drawing to a close way too quickly. As this happens, my focus has turned from nannying to packing up all of my things and preparing for recruitment and then moving into my new apartment in Ames. I can't begin to explain how excited I am to move in to an amazing apartment with three of my closest friends. We are going to have too much fun and I can't wait to share more about the experience on my blog throughout the year.

Today I am excited to share ten items that will be in my apartment bedroom this year. Some of these things are ones I am carrying over from my previous rooms, but some are brand new. For example, the last two years I've had a twin bed, but my apartment this year is furnished and includes a full/queen bed. So, one thing I had to get is a new duvet.

The graphic below shows just a few of my favorites, I can't wait to see how it all comes together. Once I am all moved in and have everything decorated I plan to write another post that includes tons of photos of the finished space. But until then, I hope you enjoy this mood board of sorts. Maybe it will give you some ideas for products you need to include in your dorm/apartment/room.

One | Two | Three | Four | Five

Many of these items are used first and foremost for their function. While I want my room to be cute and cozy, I also want it to stay organized. Additionally, I am reusing many of the decorations from my apartment last year so I can no longer find the items for you. Once my complete post with photos goes live, you'll be able to a feel for the full look.

In general, my color scheme is once again navy, white, and mint. My duvet is off-white with navy medallions printed all over. I am pairing it with lots of navy and mint pillows and navy sheets. I'm hoping it all comes together and is cute and comfy.

The other item I'm extremely excited for is my full-length mirror from Target. I have never had a full-length mirror before, and as a taller person I can't wait to use it all the time. This mirror also has a ladder detail on the back so I can sling scarves or upcoming outfits over the back.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my blog. I truly appreciate it! I'm looking forward to bringing more and more content to you as the school year starts. Let me know what you think of this post and if you want more college and apartment posts. See ya next time!
