Happy Friday!! I hope you had an absolutely amazing week. While overwhelming, my week was filled with activities, commitments, and people that made all of the running around more than worth it. Additionally, I am so so so excited to bring you all today's post!

This post is the first in what I hope will be a weekly series where I document "What's New." To clarify, these things may not actually be new, they are just new to me. I am planning on covering all different kinds of topics, genres, and subjects with things that stick out to me during the week. Click the headings to learn more about each specific item. So be on the lookout for a new "What's New" every week (probably on Fridays) on Madison From Madison.

This week I heard about Pocket Points for the first time. College students, if you aren't using this app right now, you are missing out big time! Download it and check if your university is included. Essentially, Pocket Points is in initiative to get students off their phones while on campus whether in class, studying, or just hanging out. Anytime you are on campus, you open the app and then lock your phone. The app proceeds to track how long you are off of your phone and awards you points based off of that. The points can be redeemed for deals and free items at different participating fast food restaurants and retailers. From just a few days, I already have a decent amount of points that I am eager to redeem!

After noticing the amazing smell in Anthropologie, my Mom received this candle as a gift from my dad. It was on my list of things to buy before moving to college. I was able to buy it at a discounted price and have been using it ever since! It is burning as I am writing this. The candle is very fragrant but not overpowering. Thus, it is perfect for giving my room a comfortably sweet scent.

Ever since The Bold Type premiered, I have been absolutely obsessed. As someone studying journalism and apparel merchandising, the story of three young women pursuing their dreams while working at a fashion magazine is right up my alley. The show confronts difficult current issues and is the perfect mix of serious and silly, work and fun with friends.

Each week I'm hoping to bring you a blogger or Instagram account to follow. This week, if you love classic and preppy style, college living tips, and so so much more, you should follow Ashley from The Richmond Prepster. I found Ashley and her blog randomly on Instagram a while ago and have been following her ever since. She is a college student at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and somehow still manages to write amazing content for her blog and promote it beautifully through social media. Her drive and creativity inspires me to elevate what I am doing.

You can find her blog at the link in the heading, and her Instagram HERE.

Target recently launched a new womenswear brand, A New Day. This brand features affordable yet oh so stylish pieces. The pieces are classic and can be worn in combination with tons of basics to construct the perfect outfit for any scenario. After admiring the brand online, I finally had the chance to admire the clothing in person today. Without knowing where the clothing would be in the store, the pieces immediately caught my eye. If you are in need of some new pieces to add to your wardrobe, definitely check out A New Day by Target.

Thank you so much for tuning in for this first edition of "What's New." I hope you enjoyed it and if there's anything that you fall in love with because of my suggestions, be sure to let me know! Also, if you have anything that you think I NEED to know about, don't hesitate to let me know of that too! I hope to see you back here next week. That's all for now,
