To put it frankly, this week is a stressful one for me! I have three exams just this week, not to mention many quizzes and assignments due. I am anxiously awaiting Saturday when all of this will be complete and I will get to have an amazing weekend, including my family coming up to visit!

On these especially stressful days, music has a way of calming me down and motivating me to achieve! I love listening to music when I get ready in the morning, when I'm heading to class, and sometimes when I am doing homework.

Although there are way more amazing songs than just 10, here are 10 songs that I am currently jamming to and using to get through this tough week including 5 random songs and 5 Christian songs:

1. I Want to Feel Alive // The Lighthouse and the Whaler

This song has a way of getting me going! I want to live every day feeling ALIVE. With three two line verses and a repetitive chorus this song is sure to get stuck in your head. The instrumental sections are chilling and thrilling.

2. Wildfire // Seafret

"We are bound to each other's hearts, Cold, torn, and pulled apart This love, is like wildfire"

3. You Are Enough // Sleeping At Last

A song with the resounding theme that "You Are Enough" is one that will definitely empower you. If you haven't ever listened to Sleeping At Last, you are missing out! Their music is ethereal and beautiful. They write their own music but also do fantastic covers of songs.

4. Tear It Up // Matt Simons

"We can stare at the parts Of our shattered broken hearts Or we put them back together and then We can tear it up all over again"

5. Build a Kingdom // Woodlock

"I'm going nowhere (even as a last wind blow) I'm going nowhere (even as the sirens blow) I'm going nowhere (even as the curtains blow)"

6. This is Living // Hillsong Worship

"See the sun now bursting through the clouds Black and white turns to colour all around All is new, in the Savior I am found"

I heard this song for the first time when Hillsong performed at the Passion conference. This song expresses the joy of finding Jesus and understanding all that he has done/can do. It also declares the beauty of life there after.

7. Worthy of Your Name // Passion

This song is also one from the Passion conference and is one of the songs that will be included on their new album. My favorite part is the proclamation of many names and roles for God.

8. I Am // Crowder

I have officially seen Crowder in concert three times in under a year! He is one of my absolute favorite artists and his songs have a way of speaking straight to my heart. This song wasn't on my radar until I attended Winter Jam last month. The lyrics serve as a reminder to cling to God and my faith.

9. What You Want // Tenth Avenue North

"You're changing my heart To want what You want To love how You love And that is enough There's no greater plan That I need to know You only ask me to follow And want what You, What, You want"

10. Come Thou Fount // Kings Kaleidoscope

Despite the fact that this song is a traditional hymn, the version by Kings Kaleidoscope is a breathtaking one. I first heard it sitting on the top of a mountain during my first Colorado Backpacking trip and its been permanently on my playlist ever since.

I hope you take the time to listen to at least a couple of these songs, I doubt that you'll be disappointed! I hope you enjoy and that this "playlist" helps you get through what may be a difficult week for YOU!

Much love,

Madison
